Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, have added goaltender Connor Hicks on an amateur tryout, added to active roster under emergency conditions. Hicks served as the Thunder's backup goaltender in Game 1 last evening against Manchester. 

Hicks, 20, recorded an 18-13-3 record with the Flint Firebirds in the OHL this season, to go along with a 3.21 goals against average and a .886 save percentage. The 6-4 netminder also appeared in all five of Flint's playoff games, earning his first career postseason victory in Game 2. In his OHL career, Hicks earned 32 victories, split between the Firebirds, the Hamilton Bulldogs and the Belleville Bulls.

About the Thunder

The Adirondack Thunder are the proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Calgary Flames and begin their 2016-17 season on October 22, 2016 at the Glens Falls Civic Center. The Thunder enter their second season of ECHL play, following an inaugural season that saw the team advance to the second round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs, the first time since 1994 that an Adirondack team won a playoff series.
