Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Thunder, proudly locally owned and operated, announced today that they have signed forward James Henry to a standard player contract.
Henry, 26, returns to the Thunder for his third season in Adirondack and his fifth with a Thunder organization, after he skated in Stockton from 2013-2015. Henry skated in 65 games a season ago and set career highs in goals (21), assists (34) and points (55), ranking second on the team in points. In his two seasons with Adirondack, Henry has amassed 76 points (28-48-76) in 109 games played, which places him tied for second all-time in points and third in games played in franchise history.
The 5-9 forward has been a Thunder player for his entire professional career to date as he collected 79 points (24-55-79) over 138 games played during the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons with the Stockton Thunder. Prior to beginning his professional career, the winger skated in parts of six seasons in the WHL with the Vancouver Giants and the Moose Jaw Warriors. Henry ranks fourth all time with 281 games played with Vancouver, while he placed ninth with 184 career points (62-122-184).
