Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, announced today that they have signed forward Brian Morgan to a standard player contract and forward Tim Harrison to an amateur tryout.
Morgan, 22, joins the Thunder after he completed his senior season of collegiate hockey at the University of Connecticut. Morgan collected 14 points (7-7-14) in 36 games with the Huskies and his seven goals finished tied for fourth on the team. Prior to joining Connecticut, Morgan skated for three seasons at the University of Maine, where he amassed 32 points (17-15-32) over 103 games played.
Harrison, 23, comes to Adirondack after a four-season career at Colgate University in ECAC, where he led the team in goals during his senior season. Harrison was originally a sixth-round draft pick (157th overall) of the Calgary Flames in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Harrison netted 58 points (26-32-58) during his senior season, with his 20 points (11-9-20) during the 2016-17 season placing second on the team in scoring.
The Thunder are back in action this weekend with a three-in-three set at home, beginning on Friday and Saturday evening against the Wheeling Nailers.
