Stockton, CA - The Stockton Heat, proudly owned by the NHL’s Calgary Flames, announce that goaltender Mason McDonald and defenseman Keegan Kanzig have been assigned to the Adirondack Thunder of the ECHL.
McDonald, 20, is in his first season pro having appeared in 28 games for the Thunder posting a 13-9-5 record. McDonald is just two games removed from posting his first pro shutout, stopping all 29 shots he faced against the Manchester Monarchs on March 10.
Kanzig, 22, has split the season between the Heat and Adirondack Thunder, appearing in 6 games with the Heat and recording 2 assists while also appearing in 32 games with the Thunder and recording 5 points. He scored his first pro goal on March 11 against the Manchester Monarchs.
