Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, have agreed to terms with forward Dennis Kravchenko on a standard player contract for the 2016-17 season.
Kravchenko, 22, joins the Thunder after he attended training camp with the Calgary Flames and Stockton Heat earlier this season. Kravchenko skated with UMass-Amherst each of the past two years, where he led the team in scoring as a freshman in 2014-15. In his two seasons with the Minutemen, Kravchenko amassed 61 points (22-39-61) in 68 games played. The San Clemente, CA native was also second on the team in goals and third in points last season as a sophomore.
The 5-9 winger preceded his collegiate career with three seasons in the USHL with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders and the Sioux Falls Stampede. In his final two seasons from 2012-2014, both spent with the Stampede, Kravchenko scored at over a point-per-game pace with 109 points (35-74-109) in just 101 games played. Kravchenko’s 63 points in the 2012-13 season led the Stampede roster.
