Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, announced today that they have signed forward Greg Wolfe to a standard player contract.
Wolfe, 26, returns to the Thunder after he completed his second full season as a professional in 2015-16. Wolfe finished second on team scoring a season ago, as he netted 40 points (16-24-40) over 55 regular season games with Adirondack. The Michigan State graduate scored his first career professional hat trick on April 1 with a trio of goals in a 5-1 win over the Norfolk Admirals. Wolfe also appeared in all 12 playoff contests with the Thunder and led the team with seven goals and 14 points.
The Lansing, MI native also appeared in three AHL contests last season with the Albany Devils and scored his first career AHL goal, which came on November 28 against Springfield. Wolfe previously split the 2014-15 season with the AHL’s Iowa Wild and the ECHL’s Alaska Aces, where he scored at over a point-per-game pace with 60 points (22-38-60) in 59 games played. Prior to turning professional, the 5-10 forward played four seasons of collegiate hockey at Michigan State University, where he led the Spartans with 31 points as a senior.
The Thunder kick off their 2016-17 home schedule on Saturday, October 22, at 7:00 p.m. against the Manchester Monarchs. Ticket packages are available now for the 2016-17 season at just $13 per seat, a savings of 34% off of 2015-16 pricing. Call 518-480-3355 x1 and we will customize a deal for you.
