THUNDER TO HOLD PARTY ON THE PLAZA PRIOR TO SATURDAYS GAME 3

Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, announced today plans for a “party on the plaza” prior to Saturday’s home playoff game against the Manchester Monarchs. The party begins at 5:00 p.m., preceding a 7:30 p.m. puck drop.

The party on the plaza will begin at 5:00 p.m. with live entertainment from Double Vision, a local two-man ensemble and Hits 95.9, who will be doing a live remote broadcast outside the Civic Center. The party will also offer food, courtesy of US Foods, including angus roast beef sliders, french fries, macaroni salad and other assorted appetizers. The Civic Center will also be selling refreshments, including water and Pepsi products as well as a beer garden, including Bud Light and Labatt Blue, outside on the plaza. Saratoga Eagle will also be bringing a 30-foot inflatable Bud Light bottle to add to the plaza atmosphere.

Stewarts Shops will be on hand as well, selling various homemade ice cream flavors and Party Palace in Queensbury has donated a 26x15 inflatable slide for kids’ entertainment. A bubble hockey table will also be included out front, as well as three “Thunder Cornhole” games, provided by Liberty Graphics.

Thunder season ticket holders who reserved playoff tickets in advance can pick up their tickets at a special will call table outside to avoid waiting in the will call line at the game.

“We wanted to throw a party commemorating the first playoff game in ten years and provide our fans with a fun and entertaining pre-game experience,” Adirondack Thunder President Brian Petrovek said. “The party on the plaza is the kickoff to the evening that we hope will be the biggest hockey game in Glens Falls since 2006.”

All 2015-16 full and partial season ticket holders and 2016-17 full season ticket holders can get round one of the playoffs at the 2016-17 full season ticket price of $13 per game, not including sales tax or facility fee. All 2015-16 full season ticket holders with Youth, Bronze or Silver packages will be grandfathered for round one at their 2015-16 per game rate. Any 2015-16 or 2016-17 full season ticket holders should visit the Thunder front office (playoff extended hours of 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.) or call 518-480-3355 x1 to reserve their playoff location.
