THREE RETURNED TO ADIRONDACK IN ADVANCE OF KELLY CUP PLAYOFFS

Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, have announced that the Stockton Heat have returned forward Mitchell Heard on loan to the Adirondack Thunder. Additionally, the Albany Devils have returned defenseman Joe Faust on loan to the Adirondack Thunder and the New Jersey Devils have reassigned forward Ben Johnson from Albany to Adirondack.

Heard, 24, has collected 32 points (10-22-32) in 33 games this season with the Thunder, ranking fifth on the team. The Bowmanville, ONT native leads all Thunder players with a +17 rating and 114 penalty minutes and has spent the last two months in the AHL with Stockton, where he collected seven points (3-4-7) over 22 games played. In 10 career Kelly Cup Playoff games, Heard has amassed nine points (3-6-9), all of which came last season with the Fort Wayne Komets.

Faust, 24, has collected 10 points (2-8-10) in 38 games this season on the Adirondack blueline, ranking fourth on the Thunder roster among defenseman. On loan from the Albany Devils, Faust was a mainstay on the Thunder roster until mid-February, when he was recalled back to Albany. The Bloomington, MN native skated in eight AHL contests this season, where he was held scoreless with a +2 rating.

Johnson, 21, has appeared in 12 ECHL games this season with the Thunder, where he collected six points (3-3-6). Like Faust, Johnson has been in the AHL since mid-February, where he collected seven points (3-4-7) over 16 games with the Devils. The Calumet, MI native collected his first career professional hat trick on April 2 with a three-goal effort against the Springfield Falcons. In four career ECHL playoff games, Johnson has collected four points, all of which came in the 2015 Kelly Cup playoffs with Orlando Solar Bears.
