Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, have announced their playoff roster for the 2016 Kelly Cup Playoffs, consisting of 19 players on the active roster and three players on reserve.
The Thunder’s playoff roster includes 12 forwards, eight defensemen and two goaltenders, of whom carry ECHL experience with the Thunder this season. The roster is as follows:
Goaltenders (2): Drew Fielding, Ken Appleby
Defensemen (6): Patch Alber, Mike Bergin, Mathieu Brodeur, Ryan Constant, Luke Curadi and Joe Faust.
Forwards (11): Alex Carrier, Dana Fraser, James Henry, Gunnar Hughes, Ben Johnson, Michael Kirkpatrick, Ryan Lomberg, Peter MacArthur, Louick Marcotte, Terrence Wallin and Greg Wolfe
Reserve (3): Mike Busillo, Hunter Garlent, Alex Wall
The Thunder have also named six players currently in the American Hockey League as eligible for the final spot on the playoff roster. Those six players are goaltender Kent Simpson, defensemen Ryan Culkin and David Shields and forwards Rob Bordson, Kyle Flanagan and Mitchell Heard. All six players are eligible to be added to the Thunder’s final playoff roster.
The Thunder begin their quest for the 2016 Kelly Cup on Wednesday evening at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, NH. The Thunder return home for Games three and four this weekend, beginning on Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m., the first home playoff game for and Adirondack professional hockey team since 2006.
All 2015-16 full and partial season ticket holders and 2016-17 full season ticket holders can get round one of the playoffs at the 2016-17 full season ticket price of $13 per game, not including sales tax or facility fee. All 2015-16 full season ticket holders with Youth, Bronze or Silver packages will be grandfathered for round one at their 2015-16 per game rate.
