Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, have signed defenseman Conor Riley to an Amateur Try Out.
Riley, 23, joins the Thunder after he skated the last four seasons at the University of Maine in the Hockey East Conference. Riley skated in 145 games with the Black Bears and amassed 22 points (4-18-22) from the blueline. Riley ranks tied for tenth in program history among defensemen in games played. As a junior in 2014-15, the Massena, NY native scored a career high 11 points (3-8-11) and as a senior, Riley was named as an alternate captain.
Prior to beginning his collegiate career, Riley played a season of junior hockey with the Valley Jr. Warriors of the EJHL, where he was named the 2012 EJHL Defensive Player of the Year, and prep school hockey in the Capital District at Albany Academy. Riley is the fifth player with ties to the Capital District on the Thunder roster, joining defensemen Luke Curadi and Mike Bergin (RPI) and Patch Alber and Peter MacArthur (Clifton Park).
