GLENS FALLS – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils and Utica Comets, have announced that the club has signed forward Zach Walker for the 2023-24 season.
Walker, 25, spent the last two seasons with the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads and recorded 41 points (16 goals, 25 assists) in 119 regular season games. The Boise, Idaho native helped the Steelheads to a Regular Season Championship and Western Conference Championship. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound forward started his professional career with the Southern Professional Hockey League’s Pensacola Ice Flyers and had 10 points (4 goals, 6 assists) in 36 games and helped capture the SPHL Championship.
“Zach Walker is an old school player,” said Head Coach Pete MacArthur. “He always plays with jam and high energy, has skills to produce, and isn’t afraid to stand up for his teammates. We are excited to add his speed and size to our lineup, and we know our fans and teammates will enjoy his presence as well.”
Prior to beginning his professional career, Walker played four seasons of NCAA (D1) hockey at Boston College and captured Hockey East Championships in 2018 and 2020. The right-shooting winger also played two seasons for the United States National Team Development Program.
