Dear Season Ticket Member –
The Adirondack Thunder are a team owned by its community. Back in 2017, when the Thunder were locally purchased from the Calgary Flames, the board knew that this team was too important to our community to let it leave. The same board, which is made up solely of volunteers, have donated countless hours of their time to ensure that the viability of the arena and team are kept.
We recognize that this past season was trying at times. Our performance on the ice is not what our fans have grown accustomed to, and from top to bottom, no one is satisfied with the 2019-20 season.
Our goal is to always deliver value to our season-ticket members. We are a family business, and we want to always ensure that our games are accessible to families, which is why we offer different ticket packages at an affordable price. Our season tickets are the lowest priced in the ECHL - They have been since we have been locally owned, and we will continue to keep our ticket prices as low as we can. Since the transfer of ownership, nearly four years ago, we have raised prices just once, a $.50 increase.
With the season ending four home games short of the scheduled 36, we are calling upon our most dedicated fans to support those who are currently supporting all of us. We are asking our season-ticket holders to donate the four tickets they had remaining to health care workers, to show appreciation for the extraordinary work they are doing in the current environment. These tickets would go towards Health Care Appreciation Night next season, where we will do our part to honor the sacrifices and services they have performed during this pandemic.
We understand that this option does not work for all of our season-ticket members, so we are also offering you the opportunity to roll your tickets into next season, as flex vouchers. For those who wish to pursue this option, you will be given be given four vouchers, per seat, for the 2020-21 season. Additionally, all unused, paid flex tickets from the 2019-20 season will be honored for the 2020-21 season. Please hold on to these and redeem at the Thunder front office once it is re-opened.
We thank you once again for continuing to back our organization. The Adirondack Thunder continue to be a team of the community and with your support we will return stronger than ever. For now, stay safe, stay healthy and we’ll see you soon.
Sincerely,
Jeff Mead
