GLENS FALLS, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, announced today that forward John Edwardh has been loaned to the Thunder from the American Hockey League’s Binghamton Devils.
Edwardh, 24, earned his second recall to the AHL this season after signing an American League contract with the Devils this summer. The former UMass-Lowell Riverhawk has skated in 10 games for Binghamton this year and collected his first trio of AHL goals.
The Calgary, Alberta native is currently riding a 15-game ECHL scoring streak where he has accumulated 23 points (10g-13a) and has racked up 34 points (16g-18a) over his last 23 games played for Adirondack. Edwardh’s 51 points on the season ranks second overall on the Thunder and seventh in the league for all rookie skaters.
The Thunder head to Brampton, Ontario for a pair of games against the Beast this weekend. Saturday night’s tilt kicks off at 7:15 p.m. before the two teams wrap up the weekend with a 2:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon contest. For the latest Thunder news, follow the team on all social media @ECHLThunder.
