GLENS FALLS, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, announced this morning that defenseman Colby Sissons has been recalled from his loan to the Thunder by the American Hockey League’s Binghamton Devils.
Sissons, 21, skated in nine games for the Thunder and picked up his first point with a goal in Worcester on March 3. The 6-foot-2 defenseman racked up 10 points (2g-8a) in 34 games in Binghamton before he was re-assigned to Adirondack.
The rookie blueliner skated three seasons for the WHL’s Swift Current Broncos before turning pro. Sissons collected 150 points (31g-119a) in 248 WHL games including a career-high 94 points (18g-76a) from 98 games during the 2017-2018 campaign.
The Thunder are back in action for three games this weekend at Cool Insuring Arena. Adirondack hosts the Newfoundland Growlers Friday and Saturday evenings before wrapping up with a 3:00 p.m. start against Reading on St. Patrick’s Day.
