BRIAN WARD RE-ASSIGNED TO THUNDER FROM BINGHAMTON

GLENS FALLS, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, announced today that forward Brian Ward has been re-assigned to the Thunder from the AHL’s Binghamton Devils.

Ward, 27, has appeared in 17 games this season for Binghamton after he signed an AHL contract with the Devils over the summer. The Haverhill, MA native has collected two points including his first AHL goal.

Ward was playing his most productive hockey of the season for Adirondack prior to his latest recall. The alternate captain had 17 points (9g-8a) from 18 games played in his previous stretch with the Thunder. Overall on the season, the 6-foot-1 forward has 26 points (14g-12a) in 37 games played, adding 84 PIM and a +6 rating.

The Thunder hit the ice for a trio of games this weekend, all at Cool Insuring Arena. Adirondack hosts the North Division-leading Newfoundland Growlers for a pair of games tonight and tomorrow evening before finishing the weekend with a Sunday matinee against Reading.
