Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, announced today that it has signed defenseman Jordan McNaughton to a standard player contract for the 2018-2019 season.
McNaughton, 24, comes to the Thunder after spending last season playing in France for Marseille. While with the French squad, McNaughton had a very productive season as he totaled 21 points (6-15-21) in 23 games from the blueline.
Before playing professionally, the five-foot-eleven defenseman played one season at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta. McNaughton tallied 14 points (5-9-14) in 20 games to lead all Cougars defensemen in scoring. The Komoka, Ontario native also played two years with the Truro Bearcats of the MJAHL, totaling 152 points (48-104-152) from 125 games while leading the team in scoring his final season. With the Bearcats, McNaughton was teammates with fellow Thunder signee, Daniel Perigo.
