OLIVIER MANTHA ASSIGNED TO ADIRONDACK

Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, announced today that goaltender Olivier Mantha has been assigned to Adirondack by the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch. Additionally, goaltender Tomas Sholl has been traded to the Idaho Steelheads in exchange for future considerations.

Mantha, 25, signed an entry-level contract with Tampa Bay earlier today, beginning in the 2018-19 season, and an AHL contract with Syracuse for the duration of the 2017-18 season. The La Tuque, QC native skated four seasons of collegiate hockey with the University of Alaska Anchorage, where he appeared in 122 total games, the most in program history by a goaltender. The 6-1 netminder made 946 saves during his senior season, the sixth most in the nation, and finished his collegiate career with a .908 save percentage over four seasons.

The Thunder are back in action this weekend as they visit the Manchester Monarchs for games on Friday and Saturday evening. Visit ECHLThunder.com or call 518-480-3355 x1 for tickets for today and all upcoming Thunder home games.
