Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that forward Ty Loney has been assigned to the Adirondack Thunder.
Loney, 25, currently leads the Thunder with 21 points (13-8-21) this season with his 13 goals tied for seventh in the ECHL. Loney is tied for the league lead with six power-play goals and is tied for the Thunder lead with nine points (6-3-9) on the man advantage this season. The 6-4 winger skated in six AHL games with Syracuse and collected his first career professional shootout goal on December 2 against Belleville. Loney has appeared in 66 career AHL games with Norfolk, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Albany, Chicago and Syracuse, where he's netted 20 points (6-14-20). The Pittsburgh, PA native also skated in eight Calder Cup Playoff contests with the Wolves last season, where he amassed two goals and an assist.
