Syracuse, NY - The Adirondack Thunder have announced a set of roster moves, with goaltender Nick Riopel being assigned to the team from Syracuse of the AHL. In addition, goaltender Connor Ingram and defenseman Matthew Spencer have been reassigned to Syracuse by the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning.
Riopel, 28, has appeared in nine games with Adirondack this season with a 3.91 goals-against average and .871 save percentage. The 6-0 goaltender was recalled by Syracuse on Thursday and served as the backup goaltender with the Crunch on Saturday evening.
Ingram and Spencer each appeared in three games with the Thunder over the weekend. Ingram collected a 2-0-1 record in net with a .960 save percentage and a 1.30 goals against average, including a career-best 37 saves on Sunday afternoon. Spencer, appearing in his first three ECHL contests, was scoreless with two penalty minutes and a +1 rating.
The Thunder are currently in the midst of a 12-game road trip, which continues tomorrow morning in West Virginia, as they battle the Wheeling Nailers in a 10:45 a.m. puck drop. The Thunder are next home on Saturday, November 25 at 7:00 p.m., which begins a seven-game homestand at Cool Insuring Arena.
