Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, announced today their promotional schedule for the month of December.
The Thunder will have three Saturday games to headline the month, including this Saturday, December 2, for the annual Teddy Bear Toss and the first post-game skate of the season with the team, presented by Glens Falls Hospital. Fans are encouraged to bring their stuffed animals to the game and throw them onto the ice after the Thunder score their first goal of the game. All bears will be donated to Salvation Army. Following the game, all fans are invited to skate on the ice with the Thunder, the first of two post-game skates this season.
The Thunder are also home on Saturday, December 9 and Saturday, December 23. December 9 is Bill Dineen Night when the Thunder will wear special, Bill Dineen themed jerseys, which will be auctioned off live after the game. The Thunder will also raise a Bill Dineen banner to the rafters in a pre-game ceremony. Saturday, December 23 will be a holiday celebration, complete with Santa Claus and a holiday atmosphere throughout the evening.
December also brings the annual New Year’s Eve game, presented by Garvey Auto Group, on Sunday, December 31. New Year’s Eve hockey has been a tradition in the Adirondack region for years and we’re welcoming in 2018 with a “2 for $20.18” ticket deal to commemorate the New Year.
Fidelis Care Kids Free Friday will also be prominent during December with three Friday home games on December 1, 8 and 15. All Friday home games will be Fidelis Care Kids Free Fridays, presented by Fidelis Care. Fans can get a free youth ticket at the box office with the purchase of a full priced adult ticket for all Friday home games. Friday, December 1 will be a giveaway night with the first 2,000 fans receiving a backpack, courtesy of Fidelis Care.
The month is rounded out with a trio of Wednesday games on December 13, 20 and 27. December 20 and 27 will be student discount nights. Students that show their high school or college ID at the box office can get $5 off admission to either game.
Also coming for the month of December is the Thunder Holiday Stocking, which will be available starting on December 1 at the Thunder’s home game against Worcester. The Holiday Stocking consists of four tickets, a jump pass to Skyzone and an autographed Thunder puck for $64. The tickets can be used for one of five top home games: December 23, January 27, February 24, March 10 or March 31, giving flexibility for fans looking to give the gift of Thunder hockey this holiday season.
The Thunder are in the midst of seven straight home games, which continues this weekend against Worcester on Friday evening. Visit ECHLThunder.com or call 518-480-3355 x1 for tickets to any of the Thunder’s ten December home games.
