Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Civic Center Coalition announced today that tomorrow’s preseason game against the Reading Royals will benefit the Dave Strader Scholarship Fund. All admission for tomorrow’s game will now be free of charge and all proceeds from tomorrow’s 50/50 raffle will be donated to the Dave Strader Scholarship Fund.
The Thunder will take on the Reading Royals at Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls tomorrow, October 6 at 7:00 p.m. The game will feature a moment of silence in Dave Strader’s memory prior to puck drop.
Prior to Dave’s passing, he and his wife Colleen also established the Dave Strader Scholarship, given annually to a high school student from Glens Falls High School, the alma mater of both Dave and Colleen. Anyone interested in making a donation to the scholarship can purchase 50/50 tickets at tomorrow’s game or can send one to Janice Casey, Treasurer, Glens Falls City Schools at 15 Quade St, Glens Falls, NY 12801. All donations are tax deductible.
