AAGAARD AND KANZIG ASSIGNED TO THUNDER

Stockton, CA - The Stockton Heat announced today that forward Mikkel Aagaard and defenseman Keegan Kanzig have been assigned to the Adirondack Thunder.

Aagaard, 21, has played in 11 games for the Thunder during his first pro season in North America ranking tied for third on the team in points with 9. Should Aagaard suit up for the Heat, he’d be the first player ever to suit up for a Flames top affiliate from Denmark. Aagaard appeared in four AHL games with Stockton, recording 2 points (1-1-2).

Kanzig, 21, has played 9 games for the Thunder and picked up his first pro point, an assist, last week in Idaho. The 6’6” defenseman has also gone plus-2 with 14 shots and 20 penalty minutes. Kanzig appeared in two games with Stockton and collected his first career AHL assist.
