Glens Falls, NY –The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, are holding their second “Night of Champions” this Sunday, April 3, as the Thunder take on the Brampton Beast at 3:00 p.m.
The Night of Champions promotion honors local champions in athletics, academics and other achievements and activities from throughout the Adirondack region. The Thunder previously held their first Night of Champions on December 4, as the Thunder honored eight groups of champions in an on-ice ceremony during the first intermission.
To date, the Thunder already have commitments from over 250 local champions, including the Glens Falls Gators, Fort Ann Girls Soccer, Fort Ann Girls Basketball, Tri-Falls Rivermen Hockey, Blondes vs. Brunettes Football, Glens Falls Swimming, Jackson Heights Elementary School, Anytime Fitness in Glens Falls and Hudson Falls and the Mean Max Beard Competition.
With the game still a week away, the Thunder are still taking registrations for additional champions to honor on Sunday afternoon. All champions are awarded a free ticket to the game, while family and friends can purchase tickets at the discounted group rate of $15.78 for adults and $11.77 for youth under the age of 14. All participants will be honored on the ice in a ceremony.
