Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, have claimed forward Joey Holka off waivers.
Holka, 25, joins the Thunder from the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, where he amassed 12 points (3-9-12) in 24 games played. The Phoenix, AZ native skated at the Civic Center on December 29, as the Thunder were defeated 3-1 by the Swamp Rabbits, and had a career best three points (1-2-3) in Greenville's 4-3 win over South Carolina on January 23. Holka also appeared in 11 ECHL contests last season, split between Greenville and the Utah Grizzlies.
