San Antonio, TX. - The Stockton Heat, proudly owned by the NHL’s Calgary Flames, announce that defenseman Ryan Culkin has been assigned to the Adirondack Thunder of the ECHL and also announce that goalie Eric Hartzell has been released from his pro tryout contract.
Culkin, 21, is set to return from an injury he suffered during the preseason and will begin his 2015-16 campaign in the ECHL. The fifth round draft pick of the Flames in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft began his pro career in Glens Falls last season with the Adirondack Flames, playing in 37 games and recording a goal and 17 assists.
