Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, announced today that forward Rob Bordson has signed an AHL contract with the Providence Bruins. Adirondack will retain Bordson’s ECHL rights in the event he is sent back to ECHL.
Bordson scored seven goals, added six assists, four power-play goals and two overtime game winners during his seven games in Adirondack, all of which are tops in the ECHL. The 27-year-old had at least one point in six of his seven games, including a pair of three-point games. He scored two goals and added an assist in a 5-4 win at Brampton on Oct. 23 and he picked up a goal and two assists in a 4-2 victory over Manchester on Oct. 24. Bordson also added a pair of two-point games in October and one in November.
