THUNDER ANNOUNCE PRE-SEASON SCHEDULE

Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, have announced their pre-season schedule for the 2015-16 season. The Thunder will take on the Manchester Monarchs in a home-and-home series, which will take place on Saturday, October 10 at the Glens Falls Civic Center and Sunday, October 11 at the St. Anselm College in Manchester, N.H. Storedtech, a technology company located in Glens Falls, NY, will be the presenting sponsor of the game on October 10. Fans at the game will have the opportunity to enter a raffle to win an iPad Mini courtesy of Storedtech, which will be raffled off on the ice during the first intermission.

Storedtech provides a comprehensive portfolio of voice, data, and video services and equipment. They specialize in integrated voice, data and video solutions to help businesses take advantage of new technologies available in the ever-changing telecommunications and information technology landscape. “We’re proud to support the Adirondack Thunder and local hockey fans by serving as a presenting sponsor,” said Mark Shaw, president and CEO for StoredTech. “The local hockey culture here in Glens Falls is just another great reason to live and work in the region. We’re proud to be a business who has its roots in Glens Falls and we’ll continue to support this community even as we continue to expand our services beyond upstate NY. We look forward to the Thunder’s inaugural season schedule here in Glens Falls and are so excited to be a part of it!”

The Thunder have also announced that their team training camp will begin on Saturday, October 3 with team meetings and physicals, followed by the first on-ice practice on Sunday, October 4. All Thunder training camp on-ice sessions will be open to the public. The daily training camp on-ice schedule will be found at echlthunder.com.

The pre-season series will mark the first official games in Adirondack Thunder history. Admission to the game will be $10 for adult admission, $5 for youth tickets and $5 for groups of 10-or-more. Group tickets are on sale now by calling the Thunder front office at 518-480-3355 x1 and single game tickets for the pre-season game will go on sale on Monday, October 5 at 10:00 a.m. at the Glens Falls Civic Center Box Office All full season ticket holders have the pre-season game included as a part of their package at no additional charge.

“We’re thrilled to have one of our top corporate partners, Storedtech, on board with us as we introduce the Thunder to our fans for the first time at the Civic Center on October 10,” Adirondack Thunder President Brian Petrovek said. “Our pre-season game is the first opportunity for our fans to experience ECHL hockey and will be the start of an exciting inaugural season of Thunder hockey.”

The pre-season series will mark the first meeting between the cities of Adirondack and Manchester since the 2013-14 season, when the Adirondack Phantoms and Manchester Monarchs met twice at the American Hockey League level, with the Monarchs taking both games. Adirondack’s most recent win over Manchester came on February 19, 2012, as the Phantoms claimed a 5-2 victory.

The pre-season series is also a preview of a frequent regular season matchup as the Thunder and Monarchs will meet 15 times during the 2015-16 regular season. The Monarchs are the most frequent opponent the Thunder will see this season, with both teams playing their first ECHL seasons in the newly formed East Division. The Thunder will host Manchester for the first time in their home opener on October 24.

Full season, partial season, flex and group ticket plans are now available to renew or purchase for the Adirondack Thunder’s inaugural 2015-16 season. The benefits of being a Thunder season ticket holder include a savings of 27 to 42 percent off of box office pricing. All full season, 22 game and 12 game Thunder season ticket holders are entitled to unlimited unused ticket exchange, playoff ticket priority and the ability to buy tickets all season long at the discounted season ticket price.
