ADIRONDACK FLAMES RECALL CARR, ASSIGN VAUSE TO COLORADO

Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Flames announced today that have recalled goaltender Doug Carr from the Colorado Eagles of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) and assigned center Taylor Vause to Colorado.

Carr, 25, made his professional debut last season with the Abbotsford Heat of the AHL. In two games with Abbotsford, Carr turned aside 49 of the 52 shots he faced, for a 1.92 goals against average and a .925 save percentage. The UMass-Lowell product has appeared in 20 games this season with the Eagles, where he amassed a 9-9-0 record, a .881 save percentage and a 2.77 goals against average.

Carr was signed by the Adirondack Flames on an American Hockey League Standard Players’ Contract (SPC) before the season.

Vause, 23, has recorded seven points (3-4-7) over 17 games with the Flames this season. In 101 career AHL games with the Texas Stars and Adirondack Flames, Vause has collected 35 points (11-24-35). The Calgary, Alberta native tied a career high with two goals on Dec. 5 against Texas. Vause also has 13 points (3-10-13) in 10 games with Colorado this season.

Vause originally signed a Professional Try Out (PTO) with Adirondack on November 17. The Swift Current Broncos product was released from his PTO and signed to an SPC with the Flames on December 24.
