Glens Falls, NY – Adirondack Flames President Brian Petrovek announced today the Adirondack Flames front office staff for their inaugural season.
“I’m thrilled with the group of professionals who have decided to join the Adirondack Flames front office staff,” Petrovek said. “We were able to attract local talent, which was a primary objective, with the skills and work ethic necessary to serve the needs of our customers and obligations to the community. As a group, they are all ‘Fired Up’ to present Flames’ hockey in just a few months.”
Petrovek’s staff will be headlined by three Vice Presidents, Robin Sheridan (Clifton Park, NY), Kevin Breen (Albany, NY) and Kristin Mazza (Queensbury, NY). Sheridan, Vice President, Finance & Administration, joins the Flames staff from the Adirondack Phantoms, where she spent four seasons as the Controller and handled all financial matters for the team. Sheridan will handle similar duties with the Flames, in addition to human resources. Breen, Vice President, Corporate Sales & Marketing, remains in the Glens Falls area as he, like Sheridan, comes to the Flames following two seasons with the Adirondack Phantoms, where he led the team’s corporate sales department. Mazza, Vice President, Ticket Sales & Services, joins Flames after she spent eight years at Six Flags Great Escape in Lake George, where she worked as the General Sales Manager.
The Flames also welcome three Directors, Zach Dooley (Latham, NY), Josh Clevenstine (Burnt Hills, NY) and Seth DeWitt (Queensbury, NY). Dooley, the Flames’ Director, Communications & Community Relations, comes back to the Capital District after he spent the past season with the Utica Comets as an Account Executive and Communications Coordinator. Clevenstine returns to the Civic Center as the Director, Game Operations after he spent the 2011-12 season as a Game Operations Intern with the Adirondack Phantoms. He spent the past two years working with Time Warner Cable as an Inbound Sales Representative. DeWitt also returns to the Glens Falls area, as the Director, Corporate Marketing & Consumer Products. DeWitt formerly spent three seasons with the Adirondack Phantoms as the Merchandise Manager and Fulfillment Coordinator from 2010-13. The Queensbury native spent the past season with the Iowa Wild as the Corporate Activation Specialist.
The Flames’ sales staff will be made up of a quartet of Account Executives, Lindsay Borbolla (Greenwich, NY), Sean Driscoll (Glens Falls, NY), Dan LaNoir (Glens Falls, NY) and Garren LaPosta (Albany, NY). Borbolla spent the 2013-14 season as an Account Executive with the Adirondack Phantoms. She moved with the team to Lehigh Valley at the end of last season and returned to Glens Falls in July to join the Flames’ sales staff. Driscoll, a former Glens Falls Civic Center employee in the Crowd Management department, joined the Flames sale staff in late May. LaNoir, a 2013 graduate of Western New England College, joins the Flames for his first job in the AHL. LaNoir was a three sport athlete at Glens Falls High School, including five years as a member of the hockey team. LaPosta, a 2013 graduate of the University at Albany, previously spent four summers as an intern at New York Giants training camp and was on staff at Maestro’s restaurant in Saratoga Springs from 2010-2014.
The Flames’ staff is completed by Cameron Close (Westford, MA), Assistant Director, Communications & Broadcasting. Close joins the Flames’ staff as the play-by-play voice of Adirondack Flames hockey this season following his graduation from the University of New Hampshire in 2014. Close spent the last three seasons as the voice of UNH Wildcats hockey on 91.3 WUNH. Close, who was the WUNH Sports Director, has also spent time with the University of New Hampshire’s athletic department, ESPN New Hampshire and ESPNU.
There are still plenty of great seats available for Opening Night, through a full season, 22 or 12 game plan for the 2014-15 season, in addition to group outings and flex tickets, which are now on sale. For more information, contact the Adirondack Flames front office at 518-480-3355.
