GLENS FALLS – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils and Utica Comets, have announced that the club has signed defenseman Tynan Ewart to a standard player contract for the 2026-27 season.
Ewart, 24, joins the Thunder after playing in ten games last season with the Maine Mariners. The 6-foot-2, 187-pounder served as the captain for Northern Michigan University before joining the Mariners and had 10 points (1g, 9a) in 34 games.
“Tynan is a shutdown defender who moves the puck extremely well,” said Head Coach Sylvain Cloutier. “His ability to make a strong first pass will ignite our transition game and give us a steady, stabilizing presence on the back end. He’s going to be a big piece of our defensive group.”
The Duncan, British Columbia native played three seasons of NCAA (D1) ice hockey at St. Cloud State University and Northern Michigan University and totaled 26 points (2g, 24a) in 87 games.
