GLENS FALLS – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils and Utica Comets, have announced that the club has signed defenseman Liam Haslam to a standard player contract for the 2026-27 season.
Haslam, 27, returns to North America after playing the last two seasons in Sweden and Denmark. Last year, the Toronto, Ontario native played 45 games for the Metal Ligaen’s Rødovre Mighty Bulls in Denmark and had four assists. During the 2024-25 campaign, the 6-foot-1, 198-pounder played for the HockeyEttan’s Kalix HC in Sweden and totaled eight assists in 32 games.
"We’re excited about bringing Liam to Glens Falls,” said Head Coach Sylvain Cloutier. “He’s a modern, high-IQ defenseman who moves the puck extremely well, makes clean first passes, and competes hard every shift. His experience playing in Denmark’s top league, combined with his physical style, gives us a dependable presence on the back end. He’s exactly the type of player we wanted to add to strengthen our defensive corps."
Prior to heading overseas, Haslam played three seasons at NCAA (D3) SUNY Oswego and Concordia College. In 56 total games, the right-shooting defenseman had 34 points (6g, 28a) and served as the team’s assistant captain during the 2023-24 season.
