GLENS FALLS, N.Y. – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, and The Wesley Community announced today a new partnership that will for the first time offer seniors a savings on tickets to see the Thunder in action.
Seniors ages 55 and older will receive a $2 discount on tickets to Adirondack Thunder home games during the 2018-19 regular season, courtesy of The Wesley Community. The discount is available on all full-price tickets exclusively at the Upstate Chevy Dealers Box Office at Cool Insuring Arena (with valid proof of identification).
“We are extremely excited to announce this brand-new partnership with The Wesley Community,” Thunder President Jeff Mead said. “Adirondack Thunder hockey at Cool Insuring Arena is a great night of fun and entertainment for people in our community of all ages. Our goal is to always make Thunder hockey affordable for all and this new discount program will continue that push for the seniors in our region.”
The new senior discount is valid, effective immediately, beginning with the Thunder’s next home game against the Maine Mariners on Friday, October 26.
“The Wesley Community is one of the area’s preeminent senior care organizations and we are excited to partner with the Adirondack Thunder on this new program. The senior discount is an outstanding way for our organization to give back to the aging adult population in our community while also supporting a favorite team of many of our employees from throughout the region,” said J. Brian Nealon, CEO of The Wesley Community. “We are pleased to create an affordable entertainment option for all seniors during the 2018-19 hockey season and encourage sports fans to join us at the arena this winter.”
Located in Saratoga Springs, The Wesley Community is a senior living campus that provides a wide range of housing, services and programs for aging adults, including independent and assisted living and long-term care. The organization also offers short-term rehabilitation and outpatient therapies for individuals of all ages.
Wesley also provides home care services to clients who wish to remain in the comfort of their own residence. The home care model allows Wesley to provide quality medical care services in the home setting for clients in Warren, Saratoga and Schenectady Counties.
In addition to underwriting the senior discount, The Wesley Community will be featured on digital signage at Cool Insuring Arena during all Thunder regular season home games.
