Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s New Jersey Devils, has announced its preseason schedule for the 2018-19 season.
The Thunder will take on the Reading Royals in a home-and-home series beginning at Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls on Friday, October 5. The two teams will meet again the following evening at Santander Arena in Reading, PA. Both games are slated for a 7:00 p.m. puck drop.
Tickets for the home preseason game will be free of charge for all fans attending the game. All full season ticket holders will be given their season ticket seat location and the ticket will be available for pick-up at the Season Ticket Pick-Up Party, to be announced at a later date. There will be assigned seating for the general public and tickets can be picked up at the Cool Insuring Arena box office or the Thunder office starting on September 4.
“We are excited to once again offer this game at no cost to the great hockey fans in our region,” General Manager Jeff Mead said. “Our focus as a locally owned and community oriented franchise is to continue to deliver the best product and family friendly environment to our fans and we believe this is a great way to kick off the 2018-2019 season.”
This is the second consecutive year the two teams have met for a pair of preseason games. Reading took the preseason series sweep with 6-2 and 3-1 victories over Adirondack prior to last season. The Thunder are 1-2-1 all-time in preseason play.
The Thunder will hit the ice again for regular season action on October 13 as it kicks off the 2018-19 ECHL season. Season tickets are on sale now at $13 per ticket.
