Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, announced today that New Jersey has reassigned goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood from the AHL’s Binghamton Devils to Adirondack. Additionally, goaltender Ken Appleby has been reassigned from Adirondack to Binghamton.
Blackwood, 21, returns to the Thunder for his second stint of the season after he posted a 1-0-1 record in two ECHL games played, in addition to a 2.43 goals against average and a .918 save percentage. The 6-4 netminder has also appeared in 68 AHL games over the past two seasons with Binghamton and Albany, in addition to four games in the Calder Cup Playoffs. Appleby went 1-0-1 in two starts with Adirondack and recorded a 2.03 goals against average and a .922 save percentage.
