Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, announced a pair of roster moves today. Forward Shane Conacher has been loaned to Adirondack from the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch, while defenseman Desmond Bergin has signed a PTO with the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack.
Conacher, 23, has played in 33 games with the Thunder this season and has earned 37 points (9-28-37), which ranks second on the team in scoring. Conacher leads Adirondack with 28 assists and his 1.12 point-per-game pace is tied for tenth in the ECHL amongst players with at least 30 games played. The 5-11 winger has skated in seven games this season with Syracuse in addition to ten total AHL games with the Toronto Marlies over the past two seasons. Last season, Conacher posted 11 points (2-9-11) in 25 games with the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears.
Bergin, 25, heads to the AHL for the first time during the regular season after he attended training camp this September with the Binghamton Devils. Bergin leads all Adirondack defenseman with 31 points (10-21-31) and ranks fifth on the team in overall scoring. The Harvard graduate’s 10 goals tie him for second in the ECHL amongst defensemen, while his 31 points are tied for sixth. Bergin has skated in 102 regular season games during his ECHL career with Adirondack and Greenville and has amassed 57 total points (17-40-57).
