Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, announced today that they have signed goaltender Tomas Sholl to a standard player contract.
Sholl, 23, joins the Thunder for his first career ECHL stint after he spent the first half of the 2017-18 season with the SPHL’s Evansville Thunderbolts. Sholl has posted a 14-2-2 record with the Thunderbolts to date, leading the SPHL in victories, in addition to a .924 save percentage and a 2.31 goals against average. Prior to beginning his professional career, Sholl spent four seasons at Bowling Green University, where he appeared in 19 games during his collegiate career.
The Thunder host the Florida Everblades this evening for the first of three games this week between the two teams, in addition to a pair of meetings this weekend on Friday and Saturday.
