LONEY AND CONACHER RECALLED TO SYRACUSE

Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have recalled forwards Ty Loney and Shane Conacher. Additionally, the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned defenseman Matthew Spencer from Adirondack to Syracuse.

Loney, 25, currently leads the Thunder with 21 points (13-8-21) this season with his 13 goals tied for second in the ECHL. Loney leads the league with six power-play goals and tops the Thunder with nine points (6-3-9) on the man advantage this season, extended with the game-winning goal last evening against Worcester. The 6-4 winger heads to the first time this season and the fifth time in his professional career. Loney has appeared in 60 career AHL games with Norfolk, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Albany and Chicago, where he's netted 20 points (6-14-20). The Pittsburgh, PA native also skated in eight Calder Cup Playoff contests with the Wolves last season, where he amassed two goals and an assist.

Conacher, 23, ranks second on Adirondack with 18 points (3-15-18) from 16 games played with the team this season. The 5-11 winger has found the scoresheet in 12 of 16 games, including a pair of three-point nights on November 14 and 18. Conacher appeared in two games with Syracuse this season, in addition to 10 AHL games over the past two seasons with the Toronto Marlies, where he amassed two goals and an assist. The 5-11 forward also recorded 11 points (2-9-11) in 25 regular season games a season ago with Orlando, in addition to five points (1-4-5) from seven Kelly Cup Playoff contests.

Spencer, 20, is currently in his first full professional season and has skated in eight games between Syracuse and Adirondack, including his first at Cool Insuring Arena last night against Worcester. The 6-1 defenseman made his professional debut in 2016 and appeared in three games with Adirondack earlier this season, where he recorded a +1 rating. Spencer previously skated with the Peterborough Petes of the OHL for the last four seasons. A second round draft pick by the Lightning in 2016, Spencer appeared in 251 games with Peterborough during his junior career and collected 98 points (19-79-98).
