Adirondack Thunder Fans –
Even though last evening’s overtime defeat is still weighing on our minds, I’d like to thank all of you for your incredible support this season. There’s no atmosphere in the ECHL like a playoff game at the Glens Falls Civic Center, and from our players, coaches and front office staff, your passion and support did not go unnoticed.
We led the ECHL in attendance growth this season with 15% more fans attending Thunder games than a season ago. We then saw an 18.9% increase in playoff attendance, despite only playing in Round 1, all because of your support and loyalty.
As we look back at the 2016-17 season, I hope we’re all able to focus on some incredible moments and not just the final outcome. We sold out the GFCC three times this season and posted crowds of 3,500 fans or more ten times, including the hosting of the 2017 CCM/All-Star Classic, which showcased our organization on a national stage on NHL Network.
Coming off of consecutive playoff appearances, we're excited and proud to now transition the business to a locally owned group, the Adirondack Civic Center Coalition. We’ve made great strides over the past two seasons and we hope that the support for this team continues to grow and proud memories continue to be made.
