Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, have added goaltender Connor Hicks on an amateur tryout, added to active roster under emergency conditions. Hicks served as the Thunder's backup goaltender in Game 1 last evening against Manchester.
Hicks, 20, recorded an 18-13-3 record with the Flint Firebirds in the OHL this season, to go along with a 3.21 goals against average and a .886 save percentage. The 6-4 netminder also appeared in all five of Flint's playoff games, earning his first career postseason victory in Game 2. In his OHL career, Hicks earned 32 victories, split between the Firebirds, the Hamilton Bulldogs and the Belleville Bulls.
