Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, announced today that two players have signed PTO’s with AHL teams. Forward Greg Wolfe has signed a PTO with the Albany Devils, his first of the season, while goaltender J.P. Anderson has signed a PTO with the Toronto Marlies.
Wolfe, 26, has collected 37 points (14-23-37) in 53 games this season which ranks fourth on the Thunder in scoring. The 5-10 forward tops the Thunder franchise goal scoring list with 30 and ranks second in Thunder franchise history with 77 career points (30-47-77). Wolfe also led the Thunder in playoff scoring a season ago with seven goals and 14 points. In 12 career AHL games with Albany and Iowa, Wolfe has collected two career points (1-1-2), including his first career AHL goal with the Devils on November 28, 2015 against Springfield.
Anderson, 24, has collected 10 ECHL victories this season including a 6-3-1 record as a member of the Thunder. On the season, split between Adirondack and Wheeling, Anderson has amassed a .905 save percentage and a 2.78 goals against average. The 6-0 netminder is joining his third AHL team this season after previous stints with Utica and Albany. In 17 career AHL games, Anderson is 6-9-1, including a .900 save percentage and a 2.71 goals against average in 16 games with the Worcester Sharks in the 2014-15 season.
