Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, announced today a new raffle system for the team’s 35th Anniversary Jerseys. The 35th Anniversary Jerseys were first worn on Saturday, November 26 and will be worn again on Fan Appreciation Night on Saturday, April 1.
The Thunder will sell raffle tickets at all remaining home games, beginning tomorrow evening, through April 1 at $2 per ticket or six tickets for $10, which can be placed into the raffle for a jersey of any available Thunder player. Fans can buy as many tickets as they’d like and distribute them into whichever player’s raffle that they choose to. Raffle tickets will be sold in the main lobby at Thunder home games and fans can select the player they want to bid on in person by placing their tickets into a player’s jar at the raffle table.
The jersey winners will be selected on Fan Appreciation Night on Saturday, April 1 and fans can get the “jerseys off our backs” after the game on the ice and get their jersey signed by the player wearing it. Fans must be in attendance on April 1 to collect their jersey.
“We decided to take a different approach to auctioning off our 35th Anniversary jerseys to give all of our fans a chance to win a jersey,” Adirondack Thunder President Brian Petrovek said. “This system is one that several teams around the AHL and ECHL have used over the years with great success and they’ve seen a great response from their fans. We’re hopeful that this additional element makes Fan Appreciation Night that much more exciting as we celebrate the great support we’ve received all season.”
