Calgary, AB – The Calgary Flames announced today that they have signed forward Ryan Lomberg to a two-year, two-way contract that starts in the 2017-18 season.
Lomberg, a native of Richmond Hill, Ontario, has played for Calgary’s AHL and ECHL affiliates over the last two campaigns after signing with Stockton as a free agent in September 2015. The 22-year-old has skated in 55 games for the Heat this season and has 19 points (8G, 11A) and leads the club with 109 penalty minutes.
In the 2015-16 season, Lomberg skated in 43 regular season and 12 playoff games with the Adirondack Thunder. Lomberg collected 18 goals and 35 points, ranking second on the team in goals and fourth in points. The 5-9 winger also collected six points (6-6-12) in 12 Kelly Cup Playoff games as the Thunder reached the second round.
