Manchester, NH – The Adirondack Thunder, backed by a 29-save shutout from goaltender Mason McDonald, earned a 5-0 victory over the Manchester Monarchs on Friday evening at SNHU Arena.

The Thunder doubled their advantage midway through the second period as Gunnar Hughes scored at the 13:42 mark of the middle stanza. Positioned at the point, defenseman Patch Alber fired a shot on goal, which was turned aside by Flinn, but Hughes collected the reboudn in front and slotted it home for his ninth goal of the season.
