TONIGHT’S MATCHUP: The Thunder enter tonight’s action in first place in the North Division with 83 points on the season, one point ahead of the Brampton Beast. Adirondack has collected points in each of its last six games, including a 5-4 victory over the Orlando Solar Bears on Tuesday evening in its most recent action.

PLAYOFF BOUND: Adirondack became the first team in the North Division to clinch a playoff berth on Tuesday in its win over Orlando. With the victory, the Thunder broke last season’s point total (82) and head to the playoffs for the second straight season. Adirondack now sits four points ahead of both third placed Reading and fourth placed Manchester as they look to lock up Round 1 home-ice advantage over the last five games.

CATCHER IN THE RILEY: Adirondack Thunder defenseman turned forward Conor Riley collected a pair of goals in Tuesday’s win, the first two-goal game of his professional career. Riley has collected four goals and five points in six games since making the transition to the forward position. The Massena, NY native has now amassed 18 points (9-9-18) in his first full season as a professional.

PP PITCHING IN: The Thunder scored three times on the power play on Tuesday, with goals coming from Cameron Brown, Kevin Lough and JC Campagna. Adirondack has scored a power-play goal in eight of its past ten games, including four with multiple goals scored. On the season, Adirondack ranks third in the ECHL this season at 24.2 % on the man advantage, with their 27.6 % home power-play percentage ranking second.

MAKE LOVE, NOT WARD: Since he returned to the Thunder lineup on March 10, forward Brian Ward has collected a point in every game he’s played in, including an assist in Tuesday’s win. Ward has picked up a point in ten straight games and currently holds the third longest active point streak in the ECHL. With another point tonight, Ward would pass defenseman Stepan Falkovsky for the longest streak in Thunder franchise history.

SMILE FOR THE CAM-ERA: Thunder forward Cameron Brown collected both the first goal and assist of his professional career in Tuesday’s win over Orlando. Brown, who made his professional debut with Adirondack on March 21, joined the team after four seasons at the University of Maine. Brown collected 35 assists during his senior season with the Black Bears, which ranked tied for fifth in the NCAA.

THE INCREDIBLE CULK: Adirondack defenseman Ryan Culkin collected a pair of assists in Tuesday’s win, the fourth multi-point game of his ECHL career, including three this season. Culkin has scored at a point-per-game pace with the Thunder this season with 11 points (1-10-11) from 11 games played. The 6-2 blueliner has played in 127 games over his professional career with 81 coming with Adirondack between the Thunder and Flames.
