Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, have acquired forward Brock Montgomery from the Indy Fuel in exchange for forward Nick Bligh and future considerations.
Montgomery has appeared in over 150 career games as a professional, including 12 ECHL games this season as a member of the Orlando Solar Beats before he was acquired by Indy in late December. In 155 career ECHL games spent between Orlando, Fort Wayne and Idaho, Montgomery has collected 80 points (29-51-80) in addition to five points (2-3-5) in 11 Kelly Cup Playoff games. The 6-3 forward has also appeared in six career AHL games with the Texas Stars in the 2013-14 season.
Bligh, 23, appeared in 10 games with the Thunder and collected six points (3-3-6), along with a -4 rating after he was acquired from South Carolina in early January. Bligh made his professional debut as a member of the Stingrays. Prior to beginning his professional career, Bligh skated four seasons at Dartmouth College, where he amassed 42 points (19-23-42) over 96 games played. Bligh’s 10 goals as a senior ranked tied for third on the Big Green.
