Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, host of the 2017 CCM/ECHL All-Star Classic, announced today the community activity that will accompany All-Star Classic festivities.
The Thunder and the ECHL have set up a community event for both All Star and Thunder players, along with various ECHL team mascots, on Wednesday, January 18 at 2:30 PM. The players will visit patients at Glens Falls Hospital. The ECHL Officials will also make a donation to the Hospital’s CR Wood Cancer Center, with a check to be presented at the appearance.
The Thunder have also partnered with the Adirondack Youth Hockey Association to involve AYHA players in the All-Star Classic. Three AYHA Players, Nathan DiFiore, Julien Shafer and Jordan Willis will serve as demonstrators for the Great Meadow Federal Credit Union Skills Competition and will perform the skills before the All Stars and Thunder players begin the Skills Competition. Members of the AYHA Pee Wee B team (John Attardo, Tristan Briggs-Little, Garrett Greenwood, William Lamy, Keegan Lozier, AJ Moore, Evan Paro, Cameron Pratt, Connor Rogers, Aidan Rose, Mack Ryan, Connor Traver and Jack Walter) will also be a part of the pre-game ceremony performing a routine on the ice before the All Stars and Thunder are introduced to the live audience.
Tickets are still on sale for the 2017 CCM/ECHL All-Star Game and Skills Competition to be held on January 18 at 8 PM at the Glens Falls Civic Center. All tickets are $35 plus taxes and fees for total of $40 and can be purchased at the Adirondack Thunder front office, the Glens Falls Civic Center Box Office, or by calling 518-480-3355 x1. The All-Star Classic Mini Pack, consisting of 2 All-Star Classic Tickets, 2 Thunder Flex Tickets and an All-Star Classic hat, a $140 value, is also available for just $99.
