Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Thunder dropped the rubber match against the Brampton Beast by a 3-0 final on Saturday evening at the Glens Falls Civic Center.
After a scoreless first period, Brampton got on the board first midway through the second as they converted with the man advantage. The Beast moved the puck around in the offensive zone, ending with a back door feed from David Pacan to Brandon Marino for the tap-in goal past Adirondack netminder Mason McDonald. The goal was Marino's seventh of the season, while Pacan and Chris Leveille collected the assists on the play, Pacan's 30th point of the season.
Just 33 seconds into the third period, Brampton made it a 2-0 game with a goal from Marino, his second tally of the evening. After the puck was dumped into the Adirondack defensive zone, forward David Pacan tapped a misplayed puck in the slot to Marino, who fired a wrist shot just beneath the blocker of McDonald to double the visitors’ advantage. The goal was Marino's eight of the season, while Pacan collected the lone assist, his second of the night.
The Beast added an empty netter from Luke Pither to cap off the scoring with just 1:23 to play in the game.
