Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, have named forward Peter MacArthur as the team’s captain, effective starting during tonight’s game against Manchester.
MacArthur, 30, joined the Thunder in late December and has compiled 31 points (7-24-31) in 39 games so far this season. MacArthur was previously the captain of his college team at Boston University during his senior season in 2007-08. MacArthur has been one of the team’s rotating alternate captains for much of the season and was officially named as the second captain in Thunder history today by Adirondack Thunder Head Coach Cail MacLean.
“Peter is a high character person who exemplifies professionalism,” Adirondack Thunder Head Coach Cail MacLean said. “His authenticity and selfless leadership have earned great respect in our locker room and we are proud to call him our captain.”
