Stockton, CA: The Stockton Heat have assigned forward Ryan Lomberg to the Adirondack Thunder.
Lomberg, 20, has appeared in five games this season with the Adirondack Thunder, where he collected five points (4-1-5), including two goals in a 4-2 win over the Orlando Solar Bears. Lomberg has also appeared in four AHL games with the Stockton Heat, where he collected an assist. Lomberg began his amateur career in the USHL with the Muskegon Lumberjacks in 2011-12, scoring 40 points in 52 games before committing to play at the University of Maine. In two years at Maine, the Richmond Hill, Ontario native played 66 games, scoring 18 goals and registering 32 points.
Most recently, Lomberg returned to the USHL and served as the captain of the Youngstown Phantoms, playing 46 games and putting up 43 points. The winger was invited to attend the Calgary Flames developmental camp this summer and has opted to turn pro as opposed to return to college where he was committed to play at the University of Miami (OH).
