Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, announced today that they have signed winger Alexandre Carrier.
Carrier, 24, joins the Thunder with 13 games of AHL experience, after he spent a portion of the 2014-15 season with the Albany Devils. Carrier is now back in Albany, attending training camp with the Devils. During the 2014-15 season, the winger also played with the ECHL’s Orlando Solar Bears, where he recorded an assist over 16 games and the SPHL’s Peoria Rivermen, where he amassed four points (2-2-4) over 11 games.
Prior to the 2014-15 season, Carrier skated in the ECHL for two seasons. In 2013-14, the big winger skated a combined 16 games with the Wheeling Nailers and Elmira Jackals. The St-Elzear-de-Beauce, PQ native spent the 2013-14 season with the Trenton Titans, where he played in a career high 47 games and tallied six points (1-5-6), including his first career ECHL goal on March 24 against Elmira. Carrier also spent time in Austria during the 2011-2012 season, where he skated for Salzburg EC and amassed two goals and an assist over 10 games.
